Wine
[La Galaxia] is a rosé wine made in the demarcated region of Dão, which belongs to the province of Beira Alta, in central Portugal. The wine is elaborated with Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Baga varieties, each variety gives different nuances to the wine which make it elegant and complex, with an enveloping and fresh mouth. This wine has been produced in collaboration with Álvaro Castro from Quinta da Pellada.
Region
La Galaxia rosé comes from the Quinta da Pellada vines, the Dão vines can be found spread throughout the mountainous area of the Estrela mountain range, which shelters them from the Atlantic wind.
Vines that are between 3 and 65 years old can be found at an average altitude of 550m. Total area is 60 Ha and plantation takes place in granite base soils with both sand and clay lines.
