La Liebre y la Tortuga

La Liebre
y la Tortuga

[La Liebre y La Tortuga] This young white wine unites the energy and freshness of the traditional variety of the Rías Baixas, the Albariño, which in its slow maduration enables it to express the exotism of its aroma with its elegant and harmonious palate. It is a blended white wine made in the Condado sub-area of the D.O. Rías Baixas.

Rías Baixas, location and climate: In a beautiful green valley, Rías Baixas has been called the Garden of Eden. The cool and wet climate is influenced by its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, nevertheless there are various microclimates in the five sub-areas into which the Denomination of Origin is divided.

The Condado sub-area: It takes its name from the river Tea, a tributary of the main river of Galicia, the Miño. Located in a mountainous area along the Miño, it is the second largest sub-area of the D.O. The most inland, the warmest and driest, with an average temperature of 15ºC but that can reach 40ºC in summer.  The soil is composed of granite and slate.

La Liebre y la Tortuga
Fruit of work. Sometimes slow and constant; sometimes quick and impulsive. Moments of tranquility and excitement too. It all plays a part to justify the end. It is the myth of contrasts.
